Budget 09 has increased investment tax breaks for small business from 30 to 50%. Business's who have been considering investing in a Floscan Fuel Monitoring System to generate fuel savings of up to 30% can now stand to benefit further with the goverments package.
There will be a temporary 50% investment tax break for eligible assets [a tangible asset used in carrying on a business]. Assets costing more than $1000.00 or more must have been bought or held under contract between Dec 13 2008 and Dec 30 2009 or installed ready for use by June 30 2010.
For example if you were to purchase and install an Floscan 96000 GPS Interface System  for a CAT 3412 @ 500HP before June 09 you would be able to claim an extra min $1650.00* deduction in your 2008-09 tax return.
